The City of "White City" - Morris County - Kansas
Homestead settled in 1870 by a colony from Chicago and founded in 1871 as a part of the MKT (KATY) Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad.
The township was further developed by two men who purchased 80 acres of ground on either side of the KATY tracks and then the City was so named for F.C. White, a railroad official.
With the first US Post Office in January of 1872, the town was later established in 1885 and known officially as the City of "White City."
